An intensive period of discussions between EU and British negotiating teams has begun to try and resolve disagreements over the implementation of the Northern Ireland protocol.
On Friday the UK’s Brexit minister David Frost met his EU counterpart Maroš Šefčovič in Brussels.
In a statement this morning, the EU Vice-President said both sides have agreed ‘to engage intensively and constructively’ at both an expert and political level. A set of meetings between both parties has been scheduled in Brussels this week.
