Howard University, located in Washington, D.C., and considered the creme de la creme of HBCUs, is having a crisis on the campus regarding housing. The university has been under fire after mold was identified in at least 38 dorm rooms out of 2,700 total rooms on campus. Students have also complained about rodents, flooding and other haphazard conditions. Students and alumni have raised concerns over housing conditions for decades.
