Mel Corry from Trademark Belfast was my guest on today’s show. Mel is a self-described retired hell raiser, banjo player and Communist. His work with Trademark is focused on going into workplaces and confronting our Northern Irish habit of employing a trifecta of politeness, avoidance, and denial to stop us confronting our sectarian past, the remnants of it that still exist within our society, and how we can improve those discussions and our relationships by actually discussing the issues that remain underlying in Northern Ireland today. I had a lot of fun exploring these issues with Mel and I hope you’ll enjoy our chat!
