With more than 1.1 billion estimated monthly visits from organic search, Wikipedia is one of the most visited websites and widely used reference compendiums in the world.
Despite these numbers, it is stunning to know that many Africans do not know that this open and free platform exists and even a lesser number of people know that they can actively rewrite the stories of and about Africa by actively collaborating with other Africans to factcheck the stories shared about us and make sure these stories share the right stories from the right perspectives.
