Religious exemptions from the COVID-19 vaccine have been being accepted by employers who have mandated the vaccine as terms of employment. The Ohio legislature has stalled in its effort to pass meaningful relief legislation expanding exemptions from the COVID-19 vaccine for individuals who, for medical, personal, or religious belief cannot take the vaccine. State Rep. Scott Wiggam was one of 13 members of the Ohio House who signed a discharge petition on H.B. 248, the Vaccine Freedom Bill. Now he is working with members to pass meaningful legislation that would grant broad exemptions from the COVID-19 vaccine and that would ban vaccine passports in the State of Ohio.
