Our School Safety Officers: NYPD or DOE?

Do we assign our School Safety Agents, who are the frontline in keeping NYC students and the school community safe, from under the NYPD to the DOE? We are all stakeholders in the outcome. Our special guests will provide their rationale against the move to DOE and how, Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, among others initiated this.
