Mark Engel - oomame!

Mark Engel is a self-proclaimed foodie.  He loves shopping, cooking and most importantly feeding family and friends.   With a passion for travel and adventure Mark moved to Taiwan when he was 24 where he lived for several years studying Chinese and eating his way throughout Asia.  Mark returned to the United States to get an MBA from the Wharton School and a Masters Degree in Asian Studies with a focus on Chinese from the University of Pennsylvania.    With a desire to feed as many people as he could, Mark took a job at General Mills working on the Betty Crocker brand building expertise around consumer package goods with a focus on New Product Development.  After many years leading innovation teams and doing product development for other large companies he decided to go out on his own and started Fifth Taste Foods.   “Eating is all about love and relationships and I wanted to make it easy to share amazing flavors and experiences from around the world in the comfort of your own kitchen.”
