This nature-based guided meditation for relaxation and sleep is an imaginary, immersive autumnal forest bathing experience. The visualization will begin with a simple breathing exercise. Then, trample through the autumn leaves before discovering a beautiful clearing just as the sun sets. Finally, drift off to sleep with the AMSR sound of the forest.
What is forest bathing? The Japanese practise something called forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku. Shinrin in Japanese means "forest," and yoku means "bath." So shinrin-yoku means bathing in the forest environment or taking in the forest through the senses. In the sleep story, you will virtually experience the sounds of nature, the scent of the leaves, the sunlight playing through the branches of the trees, and the forest air. All these things will help reduce anxiety and help with a good night's sleep.
