SUMMARY OF THE PODCAST:
This is where artistry meets industry folks. The mess and the math of it all. We talk about finding balance in so many ways. Whether that's in the creative part itself to keeping an authentic voice while being aware of external demands. Ultimately we learn about how to be freer as artists.
POINT #1: "WHAT YOU DO AND WHAT YOU DON'T"
- A lot of what makes up for the small nuances in artistic work are the things we show and the things we withhold. It's not always about giving too much direction and it's not about leaving things completely up in the air. Often this push and pull are where we find the real artistry.
POINT #2: “FINDING THE SWEET SPOT"
- There's a beautiful space where we create something that is meaningful to us, full of our authentic voice, and yet remains accessible to a large audience to hear your message. Going too far one way or the other can breed some interesting results and be valuable, but pose their own risks.
POINT #3: “BACK TO OUR ROOTS"
- Coming back to where it all began and what brought us to doing what we do in the first place can be the gut-check we need when or if we become lost or disillusioned with a situation we're in.
