SUMMARY OF THE PODCAST:
It’s not always easy to get rolling when you don’t know where to start. On this episode, where we didn’t know where to begin, we talk about just that. As it turns out, the biggest way to start has to do with ourselves, getting out of our own way, admitting where we’re at, shifting our perspectives and trusting the process.
POINT #1: "YOU ARE WHERE YOU ARE”
- Part of the problem is not admitting that we have a problem. By trying to pretend that we’re okay we create a disconnect with ourselves and create more stress than necessary. Only by actually being where we are and being okay with that can we then move forward.
POINT #2: “WHAT’S RIGHT ANYHOW?”
- After we’ve accepted where we are we can then look at our judgment around it all. What if we are exactly where we’re supposed to be? What if our low energy, our feelings of incompetence and unworthiness are all perfect conditions, just as much as when we’re excited and inspired for us to take the next step on that project?
POINT #3: “INSPIRATION ON THE RIVER”
- When you’ve begun a project, you’ve decided to get on the boat and head downstream. Sometimes it will be fast flowing and rapid, at other times it will be calm and serene. Each of these moments provide their own unique kinds of inspiration -- neither being better or worse. When you’re on the river of creation there is never nothing, there is always something.
