Our text today can be found in Luke 2:7 . “And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger, because there was “No Room” for them in the inn.” A familiar text often used for sermons at Christmas. Yet we generally see but the surface. What “No Room for Them in the Inn” Really? Think about this for a moment. There was “No Room” for Jesus in the business of Bethlehem. There was “No Room” for Jesus in the homes of Bethlehem. There was “No Room” for Jesus in the social life of Bethlehem. How perfectly this text fits our lives today.
I hope you will make “Room” in your homes but most of all your Hearts!
