BACK TO THE BASICS – PART 1
"The one who looks steadily at God's perfect law and makes that law his habit - not listening and then forgetting, but actively putting it into practice will be happy in all that he does."
- James 1:25
Hello, everyone! Happy New Year!....On the first Monday of the New Year, 2022, Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will be focusing on getting back to the basics. It is actually the first of a 5-part series that will touch on an important subject matter, particularly for those who want to start the New Year right. On today’s 2 Empower U, the good pastor will help you learn and understand how to have a quiet time.
What is a Quiet Time?
According to Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach:
“A quiet time is a daily time set aside to be alone with God to get to know Him through the Bible and prayer.”
The pastor will help you get a clear idea and understanding of what a quiet time with God means and how important it is, especially if you are trying to get your life on the right track.
He will also give you insights on why alone time with God should be a priority for you. There are five major points that he will discuss thoroughly with you. If you are committed to turning your life around for the better this 2022, you should listen closely to Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach’s stories and discussion. You’ll get ideas on how you can start rebuilding or strengthening your faith in and relationship with God.
You’ll learn that:
You were created to have fellowship with God.
Jesus made it possible for you to build a relationship with God.
Your alone time with God can give you strength.
Allowing yourself to have a personal time with God is a sign of effective service to Him.
Being one and alone with God will have a significant impact on your Christian life.
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will help you realize all this – in time for you to start your New Year on the right path.
"Look! I've been standing at the door and constantly knocking. If anyone opens the door, I will come in and fellowship with him and he with me."
- Revelations 3:20
