The story goes that in the middle of one night in 1835 Robert Louis Stevenson was sound asleep when he was awakened by a frightening nightmare.
Getting quickly out of bed, Stevenson grabbed a pen and paper and jotted down an idea for what ultimately would become one of his most famous stories — — “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.”
The story of a benevolent doctor who transforms into a homicidal madman has captured the fancy of people worldwide since it was first written because Jekyll and Hyde strike a universal chord within all of us.
To drop stress we must first embrace that we have an ego (Mr. Hyde) that never goes away and then we can begin to understand how we can overcome its effects in our lives.
