The purpose of the Trumpet is to assemble unto the Lord. In Revelation 1, John heard a voice as a Trumpet, and He turned to see the voice. What did John see? What was he gathered to? John was gathered up unto the Lord. This was the distinction of the voice he heard.
In the Feast of Trumpets the children of Israel were gathered to the blowing of the Trumpet. These Trumpets were made of silver, Numbers 10:2. The silver speaks of redemption. So, Israel was gathered at the door of the congregation of the Tabernacle unto the Lord in redemption. This was the blowing of the Trumpets unto the Day of Atonement where God would meet with us unto the redeeming unto Himself.
This is it. God redeemed us to Himself. Hear this by His Voice. We are not redeemed to live our own lives, but that the life of Christ would flow through us. Hear the distinction of the voice. We are redeemed that God’s Life, who is Christ Jesus our Lord, would flow through us.
All of this is made unto us in the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul said we are called unto the Fellowship of God's dear Son in the book of 1 Corinthians. We need to hear that distinct sound. The voice of our calling and what it is we are called to in Him. Glory to God!
1Corinthians 1:4 I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, 5 that in every way you were enriched in him in all speech and all knowledge— 6 even as the testimony about Christ was confirmed among you— 7 so that you are not lacking in any gift, as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 8 who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Co 1:9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
