"Holding onto anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die." Do you hold resentment towards someone and just can't seem to let it go? We've been taught that then when we forgive someone, we are 'letting them off the hook', and we should maintain our resentment because, "how dare they do that to us." In reality, we don't realize the pain we're causing ourselves by holding onto this negative thought pattern. Today we talk through why forgiveness is so important, what the process of forgiveness looks like, and some initial steps you can take to begin to release your resentful feelings.
