This week on the pod we discuss The Power of the Dog, written and adapted by Jane Campion from the Thomas Savage novel of the same name. It's Benedict Cumberbath in a western, according to marketing. In the story line, they say stuff like: "Severe, pale-eyed, handsome, Phil Burbank is brutally beguiling," and "He is a cowboy as raw as his hides." If you want to have a good watch of this film, keep your eye on Jesse Plemmons, Kirsten Dunst and Aussie Kodi Smit-McPhee, and pour one out for Bronco Henry. Also, kudos to Thomasin McKenzie for taking a pay cut to work close to home.
