Wendell Harrison Distinguished Service Professor in Political Science and Co-director of the Program on International Security Policy at the University of Chicago since 1982. More specifically, He's a realist, which means that he believe that the great powers dominate the international system and they constantly engage in security competition with each other, which sometimes leads to war.
