Estimated 100m cancer cases may have been undiagnosed due to Covid – EU Commissioner
The Covid pandemic has “impacted significantly” on cancer care in the EU. It’s led to delays in screening and early diagnosis and the postponement of treatments and surgeries.
That’s according to the EU Commissioner for Health and Food Safety.
Stella Kyriakides made the comments this morning during a debate in the European Parliament on a range of proposals to tackle cancer.
