Today's Battle Drill Devotional: Your Weaknesses Do Not Stop God from Loving You
We are crack pots! We all live out of brokenness and vulnerability to some extent. The good news is that the Kingdom of God is a bottom-up Kingdom. God uses our weaknesses for good. This week we learn again to live out of our failure and pain.
Read 2 Corinthians 12:1-10. Many of us spend our lives worrying that if people knew who we really were inside then they would reject us. It’s one of our deepest fears. Paul must have felt like this on occasions. He was proud and headstrong, but on more than one occasion his authority and position as an apostle was challenged.
But Paul knew that God would never reject him. Despite his weaknesses, despite the “thorn in his flesh”, Paul understood that God was working for his good. He could be bold and confident in his leadership because he knew that God was always good and gracious.
So why don’t we decide to remove our masks and stop pretending to be who we’re not? Let’s come before God boldly and with confidence. He loves us as we really are and will not reject us. Praise be to him!
