The burros roam free in the streets. Staged gunfights provide visitors with a romanticised vision of life on the western frontier. And Route 66 is literally main street. This is is Oatman, Arizona, one of the most famous and liveliest ghost towns on Route 66. But Oatman, and Goldroad to the north, are mining towns with a rich and colorful history.
