3/9/22 - Elijah's message from God angers Ahaziah, and the king sends a Captain and fifty soldiers to bring Elijah to him. God sends fire from heaven that consumes the Captain and his men. The king then sends another Captain and fifty men, and the same happens to them. Finally, a third Captain is sent who comes bowed to the earth seeking mercy, and God is merciful with him.

During times of great darkness, deception, and wickedness God called and equipped two great prophets to service. By the power of God they wrought great miracles, including the first resurrections found in the Bible. They challenged the prophets of Baal, and boldly withstood the wicked kings and leaders of Israel. We pray the Lord will strengthen and encourage our hearts through the study of their lives.
