When we left off last week, we had taken you through Peoples Temple origin story beginning in Indiana. Jim Jones was making waves everywhere, especially in terms of civil rights. Not only were Jim and Marceline providing real and direct help to the members of their community in the forms of housing, elderly care, community backed soup kitchens, and getting people’s lightbulbs turned back on; but they were also the first white couple in the state of Indiana to adopt a black child. This is once again his “rainbow family.”
They were making waves in so many positive directions, that it was kind of hard to take your eyes off of Peoples Temple. But then, Jim Jones received a “divine” revelation that would change the course of his life and Peoples Temple forever; Nuclear Fallout.
