Adwoa Alorse is a social entrepreneur who enjoys creating solutions for vulnerable populations such as children, youth, and women. Through her company GirlTable, Adwoa is using web-technology to inspire and empower women and girls across the globe. Though a Canadian by birth, Adwoa lived outside Canada for several years in countries like Ghana (also her heritage), The Gambia, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe, where she picked up an appreciation for the differences and similarities in the global human experience. She holds a Master of Public Service degree and a Bachelor of Arts and Business (Political Science major) degree from the University of Waterloo, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Public Management and Governance from the University of Ottawa. She believes in the power of community and collaboration, and is committed to the socio-economic empowerment of children, women, and youth across the globe.
