The Power of Giving—Mission & Generosity

2 Corinthians 9:6–14

Introduction

Generosity unlocks the PATH and PROMISE of true gain.

1. Generosity Multiplies in the Kingdom. (v. 6)

Proverbs 11:24 One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want.

2. Generosity Magnifies God. (v. 7)

            Purpose, not Pressure in our giving

            Pleasing God with praiseworthy generosity

Like so many things in life, generosity is DO thing not a FEELING thing!

3. Generosity Maximizes Grace. (vv. 8–11)

            In personal provision (v. 8)

Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 37:25 I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread.

            In powerful purpose (vv. 10–11)

4. Generosity Manifests the Gospel. (v. 13–14)
