After trying too hard in practice and taking a break, Wayne comes back to hear from Dhammarato the value of picking himself up, dusting himself off and boogying on down the road. Dhammarato reminds Wayne that the Buddha's practice is good in the beginning, good in the middle and good in the end– entirely different to the Western model of 'suffer now for reward later'– the benefit of practice can be experienced right now with a long, easy breath.
