The for mode of clinging, Upadana as a prison is discussed pointing out that in recent times folks cling much harder than in the Buddha's day. But the Buddha's path of dhamma still works and the same things just must be done over and over again. We develop sati as a skill to wake up to the clinging we are noing right now and see the discust in our clingin an so we let go.
