We are often ambivalent towards words. To some they are considered inconsequential. Others consider words almost tyrannical, and they set out to decontruct the imperialism of the logos, or the word. Whatever our views, we cannot merely discount words as inconsequential or of no value. Words are powerful, especially the word of God.
"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12
