Kathryn’s birthday is one week away. Frank says today is his ¾ birthday.
A friend of Frank’s would always recommend Mr. Boston Rock & Rye for a sore throat. After straining his voice during an improv show, Frank tried to make his own Rock & Rye with a shot of rye whiskey and a spoonful of crystallized honey.
Kathryn and one of her high school friends went to dinner and an Einstein Simplified comedy improv show. Kathryn’s friend is interested in learning more about the Body Farm.
Kathryn’s parents invited her to come to Texas for a family event but they didn’t really expect her to make the trip. Frank invited someone to his wife’s birthday party in Virginia, even though they couldn’t attend. He didn’t want them to feel left out.
Kathryn used DoorDash to send two slices of cheesecake to her parents. Frank had difficulty unsubscribing from FTD’s emails after his mother died. Kathryn’s husband doesn’t like sending flowers because they will die. Frank still has a houseplant that he received in a sympathy bouquet when his mother died.
Kathryn found the instructions “col canto” in part of the score of The Copper Queen. It means that the conductor and orchestra must follow the lead of the soloist. She sent a photo of it to the conductor, saying it was her favorite part of the score. Kathryn will play Julia Lowell, a ghost who haunts The Copper Queen hotel.
