The Hoosier Ag Today Podcast for Wednesday, March 23, 2022:
1.) Dec. 10 of last year is a day many farmers in Western Kentucky will NEVER forget. That’s the day a tornado ripped through several towns, including Mayfield and Princeton and killed 57 people. It also destroyed homes and damaged many farms. Eric Pfeiffer spoke recently with a professor from the University of Kentucky who was among those affected.
2.) National Ag Week continues – and when it comes to Indiana’s Ag Industries, you might not think of Hardwood and Lumber! That industry keeps more than 70,000 Hoosier working. C.J. Miller profiles the impact that hardwoods are having on Indiana’s economy!
3.) Chief Meteorologist Ryan Martin says colder air and rain are likely through the rest of the week.
4.) A choppy day of trading in corn, soybean and wheat futures. Arlen Suderman with Stone X previews the Wednesday grain markets.
That’s all part of the Wednesday edition of the HAT Morning Podcast!
