Cultural Nationalism is an ideology or practice that fuses collective cultural identity with a defined sense of "peoplehood." In the context of the Black or African Diaspora it usually demonstrates itself as a strong connection to manifestations of African Culture and even domestic Black cultural production. Does cultural nationalism have a beneficial political purpose in terms of material benefit? Or is it real just a form of identity redemption in the face of historical European colonialism.
