2Co 3:13 And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: 14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. 15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. 16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. 17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Not as Moses. What a statement. This entire Covenant is not like the Covenant with Moses. Don't get me wrong, Moses was a great man, an incredible man who loved God. But this is not as Moses who put a veil over his face.
Jesus is unveiled. Our hearts are unveiled when we turn to Him to see the Glory of the Lord in the face of Jesus Christ. To see Him and be changed. This is how we are changed by seeing His Glory. We are changed from the glory of the old to the glory of the new. The new is Christ.
Consider for a moment the old. It showed you your iniquity. It showed you your inability. You were lost. Now consider the new. You are in Christ. You are in the Glory of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. He reins over your weakness. The Lord is our strength. He is our righteousness. We could go on and on. The ever increasing glory of God revealed IN US in the Person of Jesus Christ who lives in us! Glory to God!
