On the Fifth Sunday of Lent, Fr. Eric reflects on the story of the woman caught in adultery (Jn 8:1-11) to focus on the topic of journeying through our brokenness.
Topics include intrinsically evil actions; the need to persevere in a kind, merciful and pastoral approach; and the significance of silence and hypocrisy in matters of fraternal correction. Fr. Eric speaks also about the importance of cooling down in the immediate aftermath of emotionally charged situations, and learning to see oneself as a fellow sinner and our neighbor as a child of God before engaging in any manner of correction.
