When we had left off last week, we had discussed the horrific and terrifying events that took place on November 18, 1978 in which Jim Jones facilitated the murder of 913 people. 909 people had died at the Jonestown settlement while there were additional deaths at the Temple’s headquarters in Georgetown; Guyana’s capital city.

Last week, we had specifically focused on the infamous Jonestown Death Tape and the mysterious circumstances of Jim Jones’ death. But what about the people who defected? What about the people who escaped the tragic events of November 18? That’s who we will be talking about tonight.
