This is what NY law states:
The Open Meetings Law was recently amended, effective April 1, 2011, to require that public bodies, including school boards, allow meetings to be photographed, broadcast, webcast or otherwise recorded and/or transmitted by audio or video means (Pub. Off. Law § 103(d)).
