For Chris Jenkins, wrestling was more than a sport. His two-year stint in the athletic endeavor provided lessons that he has continued to apply in his everyday life.
As a member of Snow Hill High School’s first wrestling team, Jenkins and others, including host Earl Holland, helped establish a culture future wrestlers would continue to build into future successes.
In this episode, Jenkins discusses with Holland what drew him to the sport and how the guidance of then-head coach Mastery Gunnery Sgt. Floyd Gladden directed him to a career in the United States Marine Corps.
Jenkins also shares his experiences running in the Marine Corps Half Marathon, his thoughts on the need for constant learning and much more.
