Frank’s friend Becca James is filling in for Kathryn Frady, who is directing and covering a production of Tosca at Gulfshore Opera.
Becca asks Frank if he buys clothes online. He mostly uses Kohl’s cash. Becca used to shop at New York & Company but they closed their stores. She buys clothes online but often has to return an item that doesn’t fit.
Becca went to see Elton John in concert and loved it. She bought the tickets in 2019. Frank’s neighbor bought resale tickets for Elton John but never received them. Frank likes that Elton added just enough concerts to finish his career with 2,000 shows in North America.
Becca will be working this weekend at the Dogwood Arts Festival in her job with Knoxville Area Transit. KAT will have a photo booth and information on electric buses. Frank remembers when the Dogwood Arts parade had an Underdog balloon. The following weekend, Kathryn Frady will drive back to Knoxville to perform at the Rossini Festival at 4:00 p.m. on April 30.
Frank has a photo shoot this weekend. He will act in a movie for the Knoxville Film Festival TN10 Best of the Best Filmmaking Challenge, a competition in which filmmakers have 90-days to create a short film. The photos will be used as props when the movie is filmed next month.
Frank was driving along Middlebrook Pike and listening to 104.9 Lake FM. Frank heard rap music bleeding over the signal. The explicit rap music became crystal clear on Frank’s car radio. He called the station owner, who is a broadcast engineer. The boss thinks that Frank must have picked up another driver’s FM transmitter being used to play mp3s from a phone or iPod.
Frank recalls a staff meeting on the day before his one-year anniversary. He got worried because the next day’s music log hadn’t been loaded. Nobody got fired. In fact, the company bought another AM station and FM translator.
Frank attended the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday. Everyone is given a candle for the first part of the service. Frank noticed a commotion four pews in front of him. A teenager held his candle too close to his hair and the hair caught fire. Two adults used their hands to quickly put out the fire. The boy didn’t seem injured and stayed for the whole ceremony.
