The Gospel of Mark - Intro and Backstory
Author: John Mark
Mark wrote his Gospel in connection with Peter near the close of Peter’s life. Peter lived out the last months of his life in Rome and was eventually martyred there. Mark wrote his Gospel while in Rome with Peter, and he wrote it to portray Jesus as a powerful man, a doer a powerful deeds but also the suffering servant.
