1Corinthians "1:4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; 5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; 6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: 7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: 8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord."
I want you to look at the word coming here in this scripture. It is the word REVELATION if you look up the Greek word. Revelation is an unveiling. So Paul was saying that we wait (look for), expect the Revealing of Jesus Christ. In this revealing we are confirmed to the end, which could simply meat to come to the goal and purpose of God. What is intended of God. That would be his goal.
By the Revealing of Jesus Christ we come to the purpose of God. In Christ we are complete, and made whole. We could consider the Day of Christ, as walking in that which is His Light. For example, in the light of the Old Covenant, I would have been walking in condemnation, always desiring to be complete. In the New Covenant we are walking in the Light (Day) of Christ, which is no condemnation, completion, forgiveness, redemption, fullness of God and on and on. All that relates to Christ is to be known by us in this new day! Glory to God!
