Baptism to Christians is generally seen as the next step following salvation. It involves dying to our own selves, and choosing to follow God's plan for our lives, and is typically done by being submerged underwater and then reemerging as a new creation. There is a second baptism required for Christians though, the baptism of fire, or, being baptized in the spirit. Pastor Damien Goodsir goes into detail about the two types of baptism and what is required of us after making the decision to be baptized.
