Take Charge of Your Health: Linda Elsegood and Her Personal Journey with Low Dose Naltrexone
In 1984, naltrexone, an opioid or endorphin blocker was approved by the FDA for use for treatment of addiction. In 1985 Dr. Bernard Bahari discovered that small doses had a short term block and the body responded by an abundant release of endorphins, the body's own feel good hormones. He applied this treatment to autoimmune diseases including multiple sclerosis. At a very low point in her health, Linda Elsegood discovered this treatment and has reversed most of her severe symptoms. She determined to bring this therapy to everyone who needs it. She established the LDN Reach Trust and maintains an active website offering the research, practitioner and pharmacy finders, LDN radio, conferences, webinars and books.
