How to embrace the fear of visibility when podcasting

You say you embrace visibility. But like… you know that’s not so, right?!

Exhibit A:
You tell yourself you’re not starting a podcast because you’re busy and there’s just so much going on!

Besides business is going great! Do you really need to add on another huge project?!

And while you think you’re in control of this situation and making this decision because you’re a high-power CEO…

the truth is you’re scared of adding on another layer of visibility.

Because on IG you can get away with “hey girl” and biz tips content…

But on a podcast, you actually go deep.
And get vulnerable.
And people listen to you while they’re naked!

And what if your podcast blows up?
Are you really ready for that kind of visibility?!

What if the bros or frienemies hear your content and call you out?!

And the reviews?!
Ahhhh 😱
What if a troll leaves a 1 star?!

So yeah, visibility is the reason why you’re resisting starting a podcast (like a cat resists a bath).

And I get it.

Not only is this all super scary, it’s all unfamiliar.

So your nervous system is on alert. 🚨

But here’s the thing:

When you’re getting ready, it’s all fun and exciting.

Then you get inside a janky airplane, and you’re like “umm, I’m not sure about this”

As the janky, airplane goes up, you tell yourself “this was a terrible idea. What’s wrong with me”

Then the door opens, and you’re like “f*ck that 💩”

But it’s too late.

You’re strapped to a dude and he pretends he doesn’t hear you say you changed your mind.

And then “F*ck it”. The only way out is thru the door.

You surrender.

And it’s the most beautiful experience ever.
