In this excellent conversation we try to get to the root of what qualifies as mythic storytelling in our modern age, which modern stories in our opinion have “that mythic quality”, and why is it such a hard tone to capture? Hercules, Anansi, Batman, Star Wars, The Northman, Conan, The Neverending Story and many more stories are dissected in an effort to understand why mythic storytelling is such a rapidly vanishing aspect of our storytelling lineage.
