Often Easter is seen simply as the weekend that begins with Good Friday and ends with Resurrection Sunday, but historically the Church continues to celebrate the resurrected life of Christ until the time of Pentecost. This season is called Eastertide, (“tide” is an older English word that means “time” or “season”) it is a fifty-day season of the Christian year set apart to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ and its implications for our lives. We will be teaching through the resurrection story found in Luke 24 and into the book of Acts, chapters 1 and 2.
