How much would your life change if you could see a status window for your real body? If you could actually watch fast food decrease your overall health, or if reading a book gave you a physical confirmation that you are smarter. That's "gamification" in action.
My guest today is Yu-kai Chow, a man who many credit with the creation of gamification as we understand it today. He owns businesses, has written novels, speaks publicly, and advises privately on all aspects of gamification and how it can be applied beneficially in almost any field. This was an extraordinary opportunity to talk to someone who literally created a new field of study in the world.
A huge shout out to all of the new and existing listeners. The growth I've been seeing has been so amazing that it's hard to believe. Downloads of this show have nearly tripled in just one month! That wouldn't be possible without people like each of you taking the time to listen to the things I do and people I talk to on here.
Also the newest episode of the Iconoblast Podcast, #85 Megalodons and Dinosaur Poop, just came out today and I'm the guest star on that. Coop and Joel are great guys and the show is super funny, albeit much more crude than this if that bothers you. I think people should watch it on YouTube, but you could also listen everywhere podcasts are.
Thank you for listening to another episode of the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. If you want to help the show grow, rate it five stars on iTunes, Spotify, or Audible.
If you have not already, please tell someone you know to listen to this show. It gets people to listen more listeners than anything else.
I'm especially right now looking for new topics, guest ideas, and questions from the audience. To reach out to me email DumbEnoughPodcast@Gmail.Com or send a message on any of the show pages on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or wherever.
