LFPWLI: Colleen Kelley, Purposeful Daydreaming and Shifts in Education
In this episode, Mathew and Colleen discuss how Google has impacted education, what purposeful daydreaming is, what it is not, and how it reduces creativity anxiety. Colleen tells us how she uses purposeful daydreaming in her own work, including in creating her comic books series that teaches chemistry to kids, and what Cloud Club is doing to create practical tools for educators.
Colleen Kelley is an author, inventor, speaker, and Chemistry Instructor at The University of Arizona with over 30 years of teaching experience. She is a believer in the equity of education and is promoting a free way to unlock the knowledge and creativity we all have in us called purposeful daydreaming.
“You are smarter than google. The answers are behind your eyelids… Google is not innovative, it’s informative.”
