We can't do anything in our own strength. Jesus told us to abide in Him and let His Word abide in us. And, if we asked anything according to His work, He would do it. He made it clear that without Him we can do nothing. However, when we remain connected and in fellowship with Him, we can do all things. Jesus did nothing without the Father; and the guidance, function, and power of the Holy Spirit. So likewise neither can we, or should we attempt to do things without Him.
