Welcome to Rivalry Week ... the most wonderful week of the year.
While that sentence might best be read using your very best Elmer Fudd impersonation (thus the name of our episode this week), it's also a true statement. There's a lot of really important college football games happening this weekend.
So, fix another plate of leftovers (trust us, we won't judge) and settle in for what will be a season-defining Saturday for several teams.
Ohio State at Michigan (12 p.m. ET, FOX): A win puts Ohio State exactly where it wants to be - playing for a Big Ten title. Meanwhile, stop us if you've heard this before ... Michigan has issues to sort out on offense.
Alabama at Auburn (3:30 p.m. ET, CBS): The Iron Bowl has massive stakes this year as the winner will go to Atlanta next weekend as the SEC West champion to face Georgia. Bama's the top team in the land, but it sure feels like Auburn has a bunch of momentum coming in.
Clemson at South Carolina (7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN): The Gamecocks have hopes of ruining Clemson's playoff chances. But here's another "stop us if you've heard this before" moment ... South Carolina is a Will Muschamp-coached team that isn't putting up a ton of points. Huh.
Notre Dame at Stanford (8 p.m. ET, ABC): Can Notre Dame contain Bryce Love? It really boils down to that in this one as the Irish try to keep their fleeting playoff hopes alive.
Washington State at Washington (8 p.m. ET, FOX): A win in the Apple Cup puts Wazzu in the Pac-12 title game. Washington was eliminated from title contention last weekend, but would love nothing more than to spoil their rivals' hopes.
We wish all of you a very happy Thanksgiving ... and enjoy the fun of Rivalry Week, you wascally wabbits!
