As we enter Week 7, it’s time to start sorting out contenders and pretenders.
After celebrating Crappy’s birthday and bemoaning the fact that neither of us picked Sparty over Michigan (despite knowing that Mark D’Antonio owns the state of Michigan and picking the team in blue anyway), we dive into five games that could really start to shape the college football picture.
TCU at Kansas State (12 p.m. ET, FS1): TCU finds itself atop the Big 12 (surprise!) … but are the Horney Toads ready for a KState team that loves to wreak havoc in the conference.
Auburn at LSU (3:30 p.m. ET, CBS): Could the LSU win over Florida last week be the springboard that the Tigers need to upset, umm, the Tigers?
Georgia Tech at Miami (3:30 p.m. ET, ABC): The Canes made a statement last weekend … but now they have to face that wacky triple-option Tech offense.
Oklahoma vs. Texas (3:30 p.m. ET, ESPN): Oklahoma is reeling; Texas seems to be on the rise. Hey, Sooners? You better be ready for the Red River Rivalry. (Try saying that five times fast.)
Utah at USC (8 p.m. ET, ABC): This is a game that USC has to win … but Utah is a formidable foe.
And no, we didn’t forget #Pac12AfterDark … our correspondent AJ gets his own Mini #CnCShow podcast treatment this weekend.
So, get your remote thumbs ready and settle in for some great games this weekend.
