It’s Week 5 of the college football season … and, OK, let’s just admit it. We were both totally wrong about almost everything last week. It happens.
But what we’re not wrong about this week is the fact that we have three extremely intriguing match-ups this week … and somehow, our #Pac12AfterDark correspondent, AJ (@AJKuftic), may have the best game of the week on his plate.
USC at Washington State (10:30 p.m. ET Friday, ESPN): Please, make AJ happy. Stay up for this game. Seriously … it may be the best game of the weekend.
* Mississippi State at Auburn (6 p.m. ET Saturday, ESPN): Which Mississippi State team decides to show up for this game — the one that dominated LSU on both sides of the ball, or the sluggish team that got blown out by Georgia last week? And … can Auburn’s offensive line protect its quarterback?
* Oklahoma State at Texas Tech (8 p.m. ET Saturday, FOX): Two potentially explosive Big 12 offenses with Gus Johnson on the call? Yes, please.
* Clemson at Virginia Tech (8 p.m. ET Saturday, ABC): Strange things can happen in Blacksburg after dark; we’ll find out on Saturday night whether Clemson is ready for a hot Virginia Tech team.
So, enjoy the football … and here’s hoping we’re a little bit more accurate on our analysis this weekend.
