DIABOLICAL: Evil Schemes Done Better
TV & Film:Film Reviews
“Have you ever had trifle at a Chinese restaurant?”
A fantastical wire-fu battle rages as the panel of peril tries to watch this week’s film, John Carpenter’s Big Trouble In Little China. We then try to improve upon the villain’s diabolical plan for the honour of choosing next week’s film and hosting the pod.
Released in 1986, Big Trouble In Little China marks the fourth collaboration between fan favourite director-actor duo John Carpenter and Kurt Russell. Also starring Dennis Dun, James Hong and Kim Cattrall, it was not a hit at the time but has since gained a reputation as a cult classic.

********PLOT SPOILER ALERT********
Sorcerer Lo Pan must find, marry and sacrifice a green-eyed girl in order to break an ancient curse. Using dark Chinese magics and the clout of the Wing Kong Exchange, only one vaguely incompetent all-American hero (and his supremely competent Chinese ‘sidekick’) can stop Lo Pan and save the day.
Was the film a hit with the panel? Just how could they improve upon magical perfection? And whom will be crowned this week’s most diabolical?
